I was born in a fishing village and one of my habits at an early age was playing with snails on the sea shores near my house. Now, I still play with sea snails but in a scientific way!
I received my BSc degree in Environmental Sciences and Management from City University of Hong Kong. I then continued my study and completed my PhD in Marine Biology in early 2013, with an emphasis on behavioural ecology of marine snails, at The University of Hong Kong. I am now an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Biological Sciences (HKU). My research interests lie in behavioural ecology, ecophysiology and thermal biology of intertidal animals.
